If I could give less than 1 star I would!
I recently had the unfortunate experience of answering one of the cold calls from OoredooQatar, and got upgraded to one of their pre-paid plans. The customer service representative who somehow found my number and called me failed to mention anything about travel fees.
Only after I came back from a short trip, I get hit with a bill of QAR700.
It turns out Ooredoo enabled my international roaming services automatically without me requesting them or even knowing that they exist. I raised the first complaint and waited for almost 2 months without any resolution. And when I went again to raise another complaint recently, I found out that they charged me another monthly fee even though I had requested several times for the service to be discontinued. I even manually go in and turn off the service from my Settings, but it automatically turns back on.
I couldn't get any help from chat support nor phone customer service.
And when I tried to explain my issue in person, they refused to cancel my subscription because they want to keep charging me monthly.
It quickly became clear that this company was trying to scam me out of money. I am very disappointed about the lack of transparency and lack of support I got, but most importantly the fact that they keep turning on features automatically even though I did not activate them and was NEVER made aware of them.

Misleading/False advertising and Packages
Ooredoo sales did an amazing job of hounding me to upgrade to a "5G"500MBPS Package. After signing up and expecting to get what I was "sold", I found that the service was never what was advertised.
After more than 6 months of having technicians come into my home, I have finally been informed that the devices on my network NO NOT support the internet speed that I have been paying for all along.
This means that in order to actually benefit from the 5G network I would have to replace ALL devices and Computers in my home.
Thank you Ooredoo for the LACK OF TRANSPARENCY!!!
You are happy to take my MONEY every month, I only wish that I was getting to enjoy what I was actually Paying for!
To make matters worse, your deception is sanctioned by the authorities, and there is nothing that any disgruntled customer can do.
Your company has managed to rip people off as you have a Monopoly, it is just unfortunate that you are not able to live up to the National slogan that says "Qatar Deserves the Best!"

I can't believe this happened to you, too. I switched to my other SIM to make a phone call and I turned off Ooreedo right before the call.
During the call, I realized that they turned the settings back on again AND my credit was drained, too!
When I went to complain right away, they denied that and refused to cancel my plan so they can keep charging me monthly. Very disappointing!
